My first pic attempt, - hope it works.
This is the old draw bar that came with my recently purchased 49 8N. I finally gave up trying to attach a hitch ball to this relic and settled for this configuration shown here.
I wanted to attach the ball to this old bar so I could just leave it there underneath the pto shaft and have it ready available when I use my small utility trailer - which I use a lot around our place.
I feel I have to replace the old drawbar unit, for nothing else than to protect the 4 bolt/holes in the bottom.
Do I have an option of attaching a ball to this old drawbar other than welding a shaft to it with a hole for the ball? I also want a place to attach a chain for pulling out roots etc around the place and this new drawbar isn't sufficient for that.
Would appreciate any suggestions
