It's been awhile since getting on the board but here goes. Had my 51 N for 11 years and in that time, with the help of this board and the archives have rebuilt/repaired just about whole tractor but now my current issue. Tractor began missing off and on but became really bad under any load the middle of Dec. , this has happened twice in the past, once a fuel flow problem, second time a tune up solved it. I have fuel flow at bottom of carb but am cleaning/changing the three screens anyway. I did the timimg check with a VOM and have #1 at TDC, my service manual says rotor should point to R front head bolt, mine is pointing to the rear. PO rebuilt engine, could dist. have been installed 180 deg. off ? I'm waiting for my brother in law to drop off his timing light and for a few parts from Just 8N s so I can get my snow removal machine up and running
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated
