FWIW, I picked up my son from school this afternoon and while there, my wife sent me a message to go to the grocery store. Since there was a NAPA store right next door, I didn't argue.
They list the dust seal, but it's a special order there, too. Must not be carried by his regular distributor because he wasn't offering to order it for me, like most places would. I suspect that Autozone, O'Reilly's, Advanced, etc., probably would have it sent to the store at no charge, but, like you said, it may just be a wait-and-see kind of deal.
Of course, the wear on my throttle quadrant isn't helping. I took it off and used my die grinder to reshape the bumps, but it still will let the throttle level slip at about the 2/3 point and you can forget about it staying at wide open.
