I actually have a record of jumping out of a USAF C-47 in my jump log; Ft Bragg, 1968. Seems like it was one of the last ones in the USAF inventory & just for S&G's, the old WWII & Korean war vets managed to get somebody at Pope AFB to let us youngsters jump it. Noisy as hell & the rear stabilizer looked like it would cut you in half when you went out the door.
