Hi Matt-
Dennis Carpenter repops the original 10 x 28 closed tread design and have the FORD logo on them. I would surmise that they are probably made in Cheena. I do not know of anyone who has bought a pair nor do I know what the quality is like. That being said, I personally can vouch for Miller Tire (find them on our LINKS page)as I have purchased many tractor tires from them over the past 15 years or so. Last year I bought a set of the FIRESTONE CHAMPION GROUND GRIP repro style rear 10 x 28, closed center tread design -just like the originals. I have them for my '48n 8N Show Tires as well as the FIRESTONE 4 x 19 single rib front tires. Shown below are some pix of my early 8N -just like off the dealer showroom floor! The 10 x 28 rears have the 'made in china' molded TM but it is hard to see. Now when I spoke with Ed Miller, he said that a Firestone rep/enginer had to approve their product before allowing them to go ahead with production (use of Firestone logo and all that legal stuff)and the guy said they did a great job. The N-Series Tractors used three suppliers for tires -FORD, Firestone, and Goodyear. Carpenter repops have the FORD script logo. The tires I bought from Miller Tire have the Firestone logo, 10 x 28 (as were originals)and the Champion Ground Grip model. They would be correct for the early 8N. In late '49 or early '50, the tires were changed to the open center, 23 degree bar tread. I would love to get a set of 9 x 32 closed center FORD script tires for my early 9N, but nobody makes them and I don't expect to ever see any as I'm sure sales of the 10 x 28's are skimpy at best. I could buy a set of 10 x 28 closed centers from Carpenter or Miller (they sell them too)and put them on my spare set of 10 x 28 hat rims as the 10 x 28's were offered as optional equipment on early 9Ns, then as standard equipment in '41 or 42, I beleive. I would prefer to keep the 9 x 32's on hat rims I have now on my early 9N though the tires are GALAXY brand, they are almost new. Maybe by thet time I finish restoring my 9N someone will have a FORD or FIRESTONE logo set of 9 x 32 closed tread design repops available.

My restored 1948 Ford 8N Tractor and Dearborn 10-8 Plow, with exact-as-original Firestone Champion Ground Grip 10 x 28 Rear Tires and Firestone 4 x 19 single rib front tires, all on Ford/Kelsey-Hayes rims-
