It'll stay on fine if yer plowin' or duiscing but if yer gonna drive down the highwya, uh-uh. I made the mistake once when I first got it of leaving open and hauling my tractor 15 miles to a Fourth Of July parade. The wind had almost ruined it. Now I leave it in the truck until I get to the show grounds, then set it up. Even then, if the weather is crappy (windy/rainy) at the show, I will close the umbrella and tie it down with wire ties.
