If so, the nut is on the bottom and the part you are attempting to remove is tapered and inserts from the top. If that is what you are working on, the pickle fork with the two hammers are the tools you need. I would not heat that.

You really need to get a manual or two. The FO-4 manual is available at a good number of "Farm" stores. It's gone from a little 40 page book which sold for $5 back in 1953 to over 100 pages and sells for about $32. There are also Ford Parts Catalogs available through this forum. Go to the "Support NTC" tab at the top of the page.

I've not had the "pleasure" of removing a radius arm so will leave advice on that to others.
