Best way I can answer that would be to say that I would follow the manufacturer's recommended fill practices. I personally don't think that filling it so that the level is above the plug would be good as you may end up leaks but there may be other reasons not to overfill besides. I can't see overfilling it helping the hydraulics. HTHs
