I have a chance to pick up a Dearborn 14" two-bottom FMD Economy Model Plow -see picture below. I have never seen one before but wanted to know what the purpose of the guide wheel was for. It seems like it would have to be adjusted to ride on top of the earth as the plow worked tilted to the left. But why? In real muddy soil? I wouldn't try plowing in real muddy ground first of all. You don't see many of these and would be nice to add to my collection. I don't know what the turnbuckle is for rather than a top link but hope someone can give us answers...
