Done and done. Thanks Tim. I cleaned the rim of the bulb with a fine brush on my drill, same with the retaining ring and shell. I've got continuity from the bulb to the socket and from the fender mounting bolt to the retaining screw that holds the retainer ring onto the shell. That should do it. I'll test it on a battery before mounting it.
