You do now need any special valve to have live remote hydraulics on the 601 tractor.
What you have to do is to drill and tap a hole in the standard plate that comes on the tractor to receive a 1/4" pipe thread. The hole has to be directly above the hole that oil will come out with the plate removed and the starter touched to make the oil come out.Then you tap the hole that is directly under the hole you tapped and to receive a 1/4" allen pipe plug and plug that hole.
Then you take the test port plug out that is down by your right foot under the running board and install a hydraulic hose to come out of the test port hole. Run this hose to a single or double open center control valve and then run hoses to what ever cylinder you need to operate.
I did that on my 660 years ago with what I learned on this site and have been operating remote hydraulics ever since.
