I guess you would be limited to the length of your hose... I used to hang one of my small Craftsman vacs on the wall and hooked it to a rubbermade trash can to act as a catch chamber with a filter box for saw dust. It worked great for many years. I had another small Craftsman vac that I could easily move around. I bought 2 small ones on sale rather then 1 big one. They have lasted for many years.
