Don't think it is better for the Iranians. They are in pretty bad shape, and we have freedom, a booming economy, low inflation and an abundance of everything (including BS). We are suffering higher gas prices, but to me I would rather pay a bit more for gas than have Iran own a nuke. As a Californian, high gas prices are the norm. As noted previously, on our recent trip the Midwest the gas prices were lower than California prices before the war. On the other hand, at 79 years of age and as an "in country" (An Khe 1969) Vietnam veteran, I agree with MacArthur, Patton and Eisenhower that there is no substitute for victory, and that "limited" wars don't work.
