Soon after the debate, Jill has Joe propped up before a small gathering of supporters. She says, "Joe you answered all the questions". Even close to being comatose as Joe was, he was capable of answering the questions, although he fumbled on many of them. At times he looked like he had the 1000 yard stare, ready to be wrapped in linen like a mummy.
