It is noticeable that in every Union territory and states DBT plays a vital role in formulating different policies and schemes.

Schemes Under DBT Agriculture
Under DBT, the government sets up different kinds of departments, and each department holds responsibility under various ministers. As a result, the government runs 357 schemes from 54 ministers. <<

It also makes it very easy for the government to shut off funds if the farmer does not grow what they want, or use fertilizer from the vendors they support, etc.
