DeWalt 20v adapter kit

My DeWalt 18v XRP batteries are needing replacing. Internet search says they are discontinuing the 18v battery and want you to upgrade to a 20v adapter kit that you can use with your 18v tools. The kit and 2 20v batteries, charger and adapter on Amazon sells for $154.00. Have any of you had any experience with this adapter kit.
