I have had both of my wrists slit. Takes about 10 minutes. Right hand was the worst.
Used to go to sleep, one bike in particular. Sometimes it would go numb while I was sleeping. No problems with my right hand. My left hand big finger is now numb. Wrist is okay. Doc may have nudged a nerve in my left wrist. So I am not sure what precautions they are expected to tell you. But it is nice to not have them go numb anymore. I put up with the numb finger. It still moves okay.
