I had heard they had float issues. Partly why I decided not to mess with the original carb, and stuck a rebuilt one on. Figured the smart guys should have figured out the problem over the years. The new carb was not a heck of a lot more money than a carb kit, and a lot less work. I have plenty of other things to work on.
Work will resume after the New Year, and hopefully it will warm up a bit.
