I would like to replace my garage but the existing one is barely 2 feet from the property line and I am sure if it were to come down, I would not be allowed to replace it where it stands. Problem with living in the city! At another time, in another location, I built one being very careful to place the foundation exactly 2 feet from the property line. When it was all done the building inspector came out and ignored the fact the eves were overhanging the neighbors land. Learned from that!
