After I got married (first time at age 21) I had a 1949 Ford pickup with a flat head six and a four speed with a "granny" gear. I could put it in low, work the steering wheel and the spotlight that was mounted on top, and shoot my 22 pistol left handed. The rabbits were plentiful up and down the turnrows where I lived. For that matter, possums, raccoons, even a few porcupines and skunks ended up being targets. Sadly, back in those days I didn't eat much of my kills. I had a couple of dogs that would ride in the back, I could tell them what to go fetch and what to leave with good success. Wish I had them back, but they would be 50 years old now.
Now it's more like taking care of prairie dogs with a 22 and a scope. I know they are cute to the city folks, but it's unreal how much damage they can do to a piece of land.
