My wife is near stone deaf. (heriditary). Went through many different sets of hearing aids without success. Paid $6000 for a set which now resides in a drawer. Finally she tried a set made in Denmark. Best she has had! Has an adapter which connects to the television so she hears it through her hearing airs. Works great! She can actually go into the back yard while hearing television. Biggest problem is she cannot hear me so conversation is limited. Also has another adapter for the telephone but we have not got that working yet. Round numbers, another $6,000 but it's worth it! I'm getting to the place where I could benefit from hearing aids also. Particularly in a group.
