Which led to the FTC declaring that July 4th is the turn over date for the new car model year.
Cars made after the 4th of July could be sold as next years model.
That lasted for a long time. Currently it has gone out the window again in finding that my wife's Town & Country van has a production date of late 2003 or very, very early 204 and was sold as a 2005.
