Not sure when they became std but my early 1957 960 came with the ROR as original eq. Black frame and black seat. The ROR std or optional sure would have never made it past the production line inspectors in any other color and never would have. Looking at parts manuals one will see that many things such as seats, bases etc were offered in red, dk gray, lt gray black to match existing colors on ones tractor. Black would have been the std color for a parts order too.
