Amazing original patent application for the Rest-O-Ride seat, though that term was coined by FORD engineers. The original name was called "the resilient seat structure" by the inventors as its use was intended for trucks, tractors, and possibly railroads. The seven pages are here in our HISTORY archives below also. The application date is listed as 1954. FORD made these seats standard equipment beginning in 1955.
