Mark,
When searching in Ebay there are soe simple rules that will narrow your search results to find exactly what you are looking for.
Examples
I just searched "8n cyclone" and found these two.
If you simple search "8n parts" you will only find items with "8n" and "parts" in the title, or main description.
Try the following the next time you search:
To group keywords that can be included it the title, put your keywords in this format... (8n,2n,9n) This will search for anything with "8n", "2n" or "9n" (any one or all) in the title.
To exclude keywords do this... -(tire,rim,coil,carb) In this case, these keyword cannot be in the title. This is useful when too many items show up that are not what you are looking for. i.e. I routinely include -(shoes,flats) to filter out women's shoes in sizes 8N and 9N.
Also include common mispellings. A good example is if you are searching for a size 48 Carhartt jacket. Use the following search syntax..... (carhartt, carhart, carhard, carheart) -(pants,bibs,coveralls,jeans) (jacket, coat) (46,48,50,XL)
This will search for (Carhartt OR common mispellings) AND (jacket OR coat) AND (sizes 46,48,50 OR XL), but will not show any (pants, bibs, coveralls OR jeans).
By doing this you can narrow down your search results pretty easy.
