IF you should want to snug down that hood you can put washers under the latch after discarding the spring tensioners if you still have them. I have seen many Jub/NAA's that were perfect except for the poor fitting hood piece that showed a gap and generally rattled too. Doesn't matter to some but did to me. This pic is not close enough to see the washers but you see the gap that was added, which caused the latch to pull hood down further. Hood will then snug down real nice like Ford should have done from factory. The spring tensioners make the latches hard to close and leave hood showing a gap. There may be other ways to get a good fit but this worked for me.
Rubber pads between tank and hood and a couple along hood edges removed all noise. I even rubber mounted the tank to frame. Excepting the aftermarket noisy muffler, mine is a real quiet Jub.
