Hi Ken, when I pulled the pan off of mine to replace leaking gasket and seals, I also pulled a rod and main bearing to check wear. Found some scoring into the copper, so I replaced all rod and main bearings. I had already performed a compression check, which indicated the rings were good, so now the lower end is top notch. Look in Bruce's tips, and you will find a part number for a neoprene front crank seal that works real well. I think it's 550199.
