If you looked just below the flat above the starter bulge on the left side of the trans case and don't see a S/N, and there is no number on the engine Left front at top of block then you can rule out it being an NAA. You most likely have a '53 Jubilee with a later or rebuilt engine where the original engine was turned in for core. I realize the 53 and 54 are quite similar and most people think of them all as NAAs. That is probably correct thinking but, the '54 year model did not carry the Jubilee nose badge. If someone looses the nose badge and changes out the engine and the serial number is lost also, it don't really make that much difference. Pretty much same parts anyway.
