Not to belabor the point, but a Google search of 9N 8620 A turned up nothing. Scott must have had the last of these fan belts on earth. Current listings, as for "Tractor Parts Inc." shows 9N 8620 B3 for the 9N,2N and 8N front mounts and 8N 8620 for the side mount 8N's. The B3 length is shown as 46 1/8" and the 8N 8620 is shown as 41 3/8". I have messed around with a "B" genny and the standard 9N 8620 B3 is too long.
Still planning to measure everything when I get a chance. Have not been around to do any wrenching this week.
I wish you the best with respect to the "A" generator but I believe that the actual head count of these known to exist is less than a dozen. Not every junkyard knows enough about tractors to pull the small genny for a collector. The one I got from a scrapper came from Rob Swartzlander out your way in MI. If I hadn't called him looking for a block I would not have wound up with it.
