I built a similar seat, without a back, for my riding lawn mower. I slide my butt over to the high side while mowing hills. I also slow the speed to a crawl. I don't weigh enough to make a difference to prevent tipping over, but it stills feel better, and I could bail out from the high side. I'm 76, and plan on living a while longer. No need to speed up the event.

Flame suit on and ready! 8^)

ps. I have done some testing to see where the tipping point is. For my 1994 Wheel Horse, I can tip it just past 45 degrees before it would want to roll over. This test was run on pavement, but I can foresee speed would make a difference as bumps or dips would influence the result.
