Several backhoes for use on N's and NAA's were powered by PTO driven hydraulic pumps.

These hydraulic systems were independent of the tractor's hydraulics and had their own reservoirs and control valves.

Many front-end loaders were powered by crankshaft-driven hydraulic pumps and were also independent of the tractor's hydraulics.
