I've replaced several of the shut off valves on my 640. Pain in the tookass. Always wondered why they moved the location from off to the side of the tank on the Ford Jubilee/NAA to directly under the middle of the tank. I never had to service the shut off valve on the Jubilee. Much easier to get too and not over top the hot motor.

Ebay has aftermarket gas tanks that give you the option to use the "Jubilee/NAA" location on the tank. But you'd have to get a new shut off assembly and reroute the gas line.
