I think Woods makes good products. If your 3 acres is wide open, the Woods will work well. However, think ahead and determine if you will be planting trees and shrubs or other landscaping.
Early on (40 years ago) I was using my 1971 Jacobsen built Ford 100 lawn tractor with 42" deck. It did good until I added acreage.
I then had a used Woods RM600, 6'cut behind my 8N and later my Jubilee for my 3 acre lawn area and paths around my other 14 acres. However, between planting many trees and selling 14 acres, it became very time consuming because I spent more time trimming around everything.
2 years ago I bought a Gravely ZT HD 60, 5'zero turn, for my remaining 3 acres. I use mulch around all of my trees and Roundup for house and barn foundation and 600' of wire fence.
For the money and the time, my experiences would take me to a zero turn allowing for future lawn changes.
Whatever you decide, have fun.
