Follow-up. the lift was getting even slower, so I pulled the pump and opened the front section with the pistons. There was some hard, black plastic junk that was keeping some of the balls from seating. Cleaned that up and reinstalled and reprimed the pump. I noted once primed, the oil was spurting out of the bleeder, so there is certainly more pressure building now. Everything seems to be working better. No idea where that garbage came from.
