Sherman Hi/Lo

I just rebuilt this SHERMAN HI/LO AND REPLACED ALL THE PARTS WITH NEW ONES. AFTER PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER i HAVE ABOUT 1/8" PLAY ON THE OUTPUT END. I'M WONDERING IF I PRESSED THE BEARING TOO FAR ONTO THE SHAFT. COULD THAT BE WHERE THE PLAY COMES FROM?
