John Locke (aka "Rusty Nuts") sent these to me from an 8N he just acquired. The serial number is in the range of '50 8N's but the casting date is from December of '48. Instead of the usual star or diamond, the serial number has an "X" at the front and rear of the serial number. Any thoughts on what this might be?
