Thank you guys for your help. Bruce thanks for the offer. I found the part and it's on the way. Yea I know it can't filter if the bottom isn't sealed, but I was wondering that maybe the part had been superseded by something different. Seems like sometime in the past I remember a spring and rubber washer in the bottom of an oil cannister. Probably on some kind car.
