I bought a replacement for my 48 8N from Just 8Ns, eight or nine years ago. The filler neck was brazed on incorrectly, so the winged rad cap closed about, but not quite 90 degrees from where it should be. I had a dickens of a time getting them to understand what the problem was, they even insisted it couldn’t be the rad, and sent me a new winged cap.

Same problem. I knew that because I had already compared their rad to my old one.

Ultimately they sent another rad, and it is still in my tractor.

The rad with the incorrectly installed neck is still on a shelf in my shop, as they didn’t want to cover return shipping. I suppose I could take it to a rad shop and have the neck removed and reattached in the right orientation, and have a useful rad.

Oh, and as I recall, the core is thicker that original, to give better cooling.
