If you are running a Delco alternator you might find this website helpful, myfordtractors.com. Search for the article "Deep Delco". Regarding the side marker light mentioned in the article I opted for a Standard Ignition 2 terminal light socket p/n S74,($6.29) which takes a bayonet style dash light bulb. I idle my tractor at 550 to 600 rpm and that keeps the dash light off and alternator charging. Hope this helps and good luck.
