Tried to search archives but can’t get the search function to work so…
My 48 8N has 12 volt system and pertronics electronic ignition. It starts easy and purrs like a kitten at idle but runs rough when revved up and has diminished power. I just rewired the the whole thing including plug wires and added the electronic ignition thinking it would help with power. The tractor was pulling much better last fall when last used but now using it to blade snow and can’t get out of First gear. The rewiring and ignition install improved it a little but not much. I took the carb off and cleaned it…no help. I am wondering about timing? Don’t know how electronic ignition might change that. I set it in the middle where suggested. Any suggestions appreciated.
