Generally if you have 10 psi for every 1000 RPM you will be fine. Yes, heavier oil will help, especially when the engine is hot. I use either 20w-50 or 15w-40 in my 9N which helps my low oil pressure. However, that's too heavy for winter if you use your tractor during the winter. I start out at 40 PSI when cold and end up with 15 PSI when warmed up. In most cases, it's worn out main bearings causing the low pressure.
