I understood what you said perfectly Woody. However, NO! You do NOT want to bypass the neutral safety start pushbutton switch NO NO NO! Why? An Accident waiting to happen. Then it will be able to start IN GEAR and you DON"T want that do you really??? I HIGHLY ADVISE you to just get the OEM start pushbutton wired correctly and if needed a new OEM style IGNITION KEY SWITCH and WIRE everything like it is supposed to be. Easier and better than trying to do what you want to do. I still don't think your start pushbutton is bad -how did you test it? How does it start if it is bad? Jump start? It is just wired wrong; fix it right the first time.
