Hi There:
I've got a '47 2N. Was using her just today and I heard something go "thunk" and then all of a sudden I've got smoke and the smell of burning rubber.
Looks like the fan/generator belt is starting to melt. The fan itself is very difficult to turn. So I figure the fan pulley is not turning, hence the burning rubber.
Just wanted to run this by you folks here...does this sound like the bearing on the fan has blown?
