Thanks for the help. I brought the battery home and charged it. Battery seemed OK. I then took it to our local hardware store. It failed when put under even a little load. So….new battery….ch-ching. Battery installed and tractor starts as usual. Wallet is lighter but my mind is at rest. Dave
