Hey all, I hope you can help. I inherited what I believe to be a '54 NAA.I found a major leak in the bottom of the transmission just forward of the drain plug. It has a broken cutter pin hanging thru the 1/4" hole. The leak is heavy, about a gallon a week.
Looking at the schematic, if I cut the remaining leg of the pin off and push it up thru to repair the hole, the pin will lay in the bottom of the clutch area. I have pictures but I'm not sure I know how to post it. Would this be a really bad thing? I'm stumped about what this would even be for? There's no way that I can see to get inside except to split the tractor apart. Which is not going to happen!! Thanks for any help you can give.
