53 jub no power to coil

Hey i have a 53 jub with no power to coil , new points and plugs new battery 6 volt positive ground new key switch , where should i look now the owner before me put the battery in backwards so i changed that back but still no power could it be the starter silinod or voltage reg , it will spin over just fine . thanks jim
