There is a small side and a large side to the exhaust pipe clamp to manifold. The large side goes down. See Tip #8 in the "75 Tips for N Owners" by Bruce(VA) document. Be sure to get pipe aligned correctly with Bruce's method of assembling using a bottle jack and 2 x 4. If you have leaks, don't think tin foil or other stuff will work
