Hi Folks, A friend of mine purchased a '39 9N to replace a completely dogged '50 8N. It definitely has some problems - my guess, and it's just a guess, is that it's either carb or governor problems - or maybe both. Is there anyone you might know of in the Denver to Brighton, CO area that works on the N series? It's probably a pretty simple solution for someone who knows what they're doing. I hate to tell her to buy a new carb (the old one is in bad shape I think) if it's the governor. I can change the carb out, I do have the tools and the ability to do that - but the governor would be a different story...Symptoms: Won't rev up, really down on power. Throttle works backwards from the old 8N. Does not idle, choke has to be pulled out to keep it running. It's like the fuel delivery system is hooked up backwards. Thanks for your time!!! Greg
