Reading about this subject got me thinking about antifreeze types. With the dogs and cats that we have I worry about the possibility of having the plug leak and dripping antifreeze for the animals to ingest. I know there are pet safe antifreeze brands that contain either a bittering agent like denatonium benzoate into ethylene glycol to discourage ingestion, or using propylene glycol (more expensive) to make it less toxic. I have even heard of some making there own antifreeze with straight glycerin. Just wondering what your opinion is as to what would work or not work with these old engines.
