I have an 1949 8N, mostly original has far as I can tell. I bought in 1993, so I've had it a while. I used to use it year round for plowing our road and cutting our 5 acres, but now it's just a summer tractor.

The starter motor always worked until this summer, when it suddenly just wouldn't engage one Sunday afternoon. I've since fixed that(stuck bendix), but it got me interested enough in the hand crank to buy a reproduction version to try. But when I tried to engage the front of the crank pulley with it, there doesn't seem to be anything for the two pins to catch. Is there supposed to be a special pulley for the hand crank? Or maybe a part that fits into the pulley, that I don't have? I looked through the copy of the operators manual I have, but I didn't see where it said anything about hand cranking. Thanks.
